Its no secret that there is a vast difference in terms of hardware when it comes to Xbox Scorpio, and the 360. However according to Microsoft the 360’s backwards compatibility will still work with the Xbox One Scorpio, allowing Scorpio users to enjoy the same experience that is currently allowing Xbox One users to play Xbox 360 games.
The Xbox Scorpio is quite possibly the most powerful console around, to the point that it is even more powerful than Sony’s much heralded PS4 Pro, with its six teraflops of processing power, and its ability to run games at 4K and 60 frames per second it can be even argued that the console can compete with PC hardware as well.
Thebackward compatibility feature can be a major reason in boosting the sales of Microsoft newest console next year. With many people of the opinion that many popular titles are still to be released on backwards compatibility, this can be seen as quite a profitable feature for the Scorpio.
The news actually comes from a question posted to Mike Ybarra who is the director of program development at Microsoft. You can see the exchange below.
