Call Of Duty

We have all heard about the criticism that has been associated with the latest Call Of Duty game , and most fans voiced their frustrations of it being constantly based in a futuristic setting however, NPD’s year end data suggests that it is still the best selling game for 2016 in the US.

With many claiming that EA’s latest offering Battlefield 1 was far superior than Call Of Duty’s latest incarnation , and it’s War Stories campaign mode being a joy to behold , the World War 1 shooter still could not displace Infinite Warfare from the top of the charts, despite enjoying a 10% higher dollar spending than previous years Star Wars Battlefront. Surprisingly enough Grand Theft Auto V was still in the top 10 , despite the game releasing in September 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and November 2014 for the PS4 and Xbox One. Here is the full list of games that made it into the top ten.

  1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (Activision Blizzard)
  2. Battlefield 1 (EA)
  3. Tom Clancy’s The Division (Ubisoft)
  4. NBA 2K17 (Take-Two)
  5. Madden NFL 17 (EA)
  6. Grand Theft Auto V (Take-Two)
  7. Overwatch (Activision Blizzard)
  8. Call of Duty: Black Ops III (Activision Blizzard)
  9. FIFA 17 (EA)
  10. Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix)

While on the portable front as expected the Pokemon Sun and Moon were phenomenal successes and were the best selling games in the long running franchise since Pokemon Pearl and Diamond in 2007. it even made it in the Top 10 selling games for the month of December, which is as follows

  1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  2. Final Fantasy XV
  3. Battlefield 1
  4. Madden NFL 17
  5. NBA 2K17
  6. Watch Dogs 2
  7. Grand Theft Auto V
  8. Pokemon: Sun*
  9. FIFA 17
  10. Pokemon: Moon*

Whats interesting to see is  that despite being released years ago the Grand Theft Auto series is still going strong , and even though the fans complain a lot about COD being repetitive it is still the best selling game of 2016.

I keep hearing that more people are playing B1 online though. Can anyone show me if this is true? I want it to be, so we get less of the same. I didn’t buy either game. I’m on Titatan Fall 2

I enjoyed the Campaign for BF1 but it was painful to play online. COD IW also had an enjoyable campaign but the maps suck and I’m sick and tired of the damn jump packs. I got enough of that with TF1 and BO3. COD needs a good boots to the ground, modern day game with medium sized maps ( like ghosts had. ). Over Watch was a cartoon, I truly hated it.
